Welcome all...!!!

This is me, this is real and I believe I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be for now. I know I have not arrived, but I take each day at a time as I reach forth for what God has in store for me, one day and one moment at a time. I love life and I love to see people living to the fullest, maximising their potential. I believe life is for living so live each day as if its your last.

Roaring into the new year

Let's make 2017 a good...no a greater one.
Dare to get out your comfort zone and bring one of your dreams to life.
I challenge you...even as I'm challenging myself, to just do one thing you've always wanted to do but were afraid and see how you feel afterward.
Take one dream you have always harboured and find a way to make it come alive.
You have only one life, so make it count.
Don't spend your years worrying about what people think or what they will say at the expense of fulfilling your life's mission.
Step out of that comfort zone, that place of mediocrity and grab life by the horns.
Live life fully
Love as if you've never been hurt
Laugh like you've never cried before.
😘

Sowing and reaping

As a man thinks in his heart so is he, says the good book. What thoughts have been occupying your mind lately? Are those thoughts you want to manifest on the outside? Or maybe I should ask; have those thoughts brought any desirable outcomes lately? If your answer is not a full YES then you need to start cultivating thoughts that will lead to a life you desire. It's time to arise and unleash the giant of greatness within you. YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES...!!!

Breaking up with average

If you want to release the greatness within you, take a minute; an hour or even a day...to ponder the quotes below. Even if all you do is think, that is enough because thinking always precedes achievement.

" Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]."

Planting seeds of greatness

Ever looked at a successful athlete and wished you could be like him or her, or at the girl/man in your office who seems to be always full of energy and is never down. Well you could also be like them if you took the time to develop yourself. You see the truth is everyone can be anything they put their minds to and commit to see it through. So next time you think you cannot do or be something remember within you is all the power you need to be what you desire, all you need to do is take the time to cultivate the garden of your mind, weeding out the weeds of negative thoughts and planting as well as nurturing the flowers of empowering thoughts. In the cultivation process one needs to be very rigorous and very careful in what they plant because you plant with the harvest in mind, so if you want to harvest tomatoes for example you do not plant apple seeds. In the same way with our lives we must know exactly what harvest/outcome we are looking for so that we can plant that particular habit or thought. When a farmer has a particular harvest in mind, he starts by identifying the type of soil he will need to plant in, he then looks for that specific seed to plant, he may want tomatoes for example but what kind of tomatoes; is it the cherry tomatoes, the jam tomatoes; or the normal tomatoes people use for their stews, sandwiches etc. He then prepares his soil for the planting, this he does by taking out the big stones, the weeds and turning the soil so that enough air can circulate freely, and so that the water will be able to go down to the roots of the plants. The next step would be to put order in the garden, by making ridges or furrows so that he can easily identify the plants and so that they are not crowded. It is the same way with your thoughts, if you realize that the thoughts that you have had all your life have been giving you undesirable results it maybe time to change your thinking. In other words weed out the undesirable thoughts and get ready to plant the thoughts that will give you the results you need. This may be in one area of your life or it may be in several areas, for example you may have trouble thinking of yourself as a beautiful person that people can relate to, whereas you have no problem seeing yourself as a success in what you do in your career. In this case it means you need to focus on weeding out the undesirable thoughts of “I am ugly, or I am unattractive’, or I can never be as fun as that girl, or that man” and start thinking of yourself as able to be fun and creatively interesting as the next person. You may be an introvert and because of that you are always left out of conversations because people seldom give you a chance to express your opinion. I know most introverts will speak out when their opinion is sought. I know and understand that because I grew up introverted and had a belief that no one wanted to hear what I had to say, and that my jokes were not funny enough to say. As I grew older I realized that this was mostly in my mind and I started going out of my way to take part in conversations and tell jokes, sometimes with disappointing results but mostly it helped me realize that I had been holding myself back. So you sometimes need to put yourself out there and risk being hurt or humiliated in order to go to the next level, after all no pain no gain. And as you put yourself out there determine in your mind to enjoy yourself in everything you do, your thoughts must be “I can do this”, and ‘I am good at everything I do”. As you start thinking that way you will find yourself being good at whatever you do. Studies have shown that what our mind thinks often comes out in the way we behave, so take time to cultivate the right thoughts and attitudes and you will reap a harvest of the desired actions. Somebody once said “If you think you can, you can, and if you think you can’t you are probably right”. So start by correcting the way you think of yourself and make it a daily and conscious decision to guard against negative thoughts about yourself. And you have it all inside of you because YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES...!!!

Holding fast

Would it not be great to be known as that man or woman who trusted and held fast to God so much so that our trust makes us stand out?
What does that kind of trust look like in our daily lives?
If our story were to be written would it read the same as this scripture passage?
I am challenged as i read these verses, challenged to hold fast to God in a way that King Hezzekiah did, i hope you are challenged too.
